Finance, Labor & Global Markets
The Pacific Century is characterized by the rise of Asia and the Americas as the pivot point for global dynamics. Barry Naughton, professor and leading scholar at the 21st Century China Center, is an authority on the Chinese economy with an emphasis on issues relating to industry, trade, finance and China’s transition to a market economy. The center promotes original research on contemporary China and focuses on policy-relevant research and practical dialogues in areas that are of critical and immediate relevance to China’s development and U.S.-China relations.
