Reimbursement Information for Travel to San Diego

We will provide students admitted to the MPP, MIA, and MCEPA programs traveling from within the United States travel reimbursement for expenses related to transportation (airfare, train or bus fare, mileage) and two nights hotel stay for a maximum of the below limit based upon the admitted student’s current residence.

Admitted Students Day is by far the best way to experience GPS in a comprehensive way, so we highly encourage you to participate in that event if possible. We understand scheduling is sometimes challenging, so will permit admitted students to take advantage of the reimbursement program for travel through April 15, 2026. We feel visiting us in San Diego is the best way to experience our school, our campus, and our dynamic city, so please join us if you can.

Admitted students should register for a UC San Diego Payment Works Account by contacting Martha Welby at mwelby@ucsd.edu prior to traveling to San Diego. Receipts (only transportation and lodging) should be emailed as .pdf once travel is complete to gps-do1-asst@ucsd.edu with the Subject Line: Admitted Student Travel Reimbursement. You may also bring your receipts with you to campus. You must check in in-person with GPS Admissions on the UC San Diego campus for the reimbursement request to be considered.
