Explanation of Costs

Tuition and program costs are subject to change.

Tuition fees are due before the first day of instruction for that quarter. See the GLI Academic Calendar for program dates.

The application and visa processing fees are required of all applicants and must be paid directly to GLI.

The Department of State requires that all visiting scholars and dependent family members have minimum health insurance coverage. View the PDF for more information regarding GLI health insurance requirements.

Personal living expenses are estimated at $2,400/month. For dependents, please add an additional $800/month for the first dependent (e.g. spouse, child), and an additional $400/month for each additional dependent.

The estimated amounts for personal living expenses and books and supplies are paid directly by the students. These above expenses are the minimum amounts that are required by law in order for the student to legally enter the U.S. The student's sponsor may approve higher amounts to be paid to the student.

Customized Program

Custom group programs may differ in length from one day to two weeks or more, and we work with your group to determine the program duration and daily schedule. Pricing will vary based on the number of instructional contact hours and professional tours requested as well as the extent that GLI is involved in organizing all other aspects of the program, including cultural activities, housing, meals and transportation. If you have a group that is interested in studying at GLI, please contact us.
