Profile

Shinnosuke Kikuchi is an assistant professor at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy. His research focuses on international economics, macroeconomics and political economy, and many of his current projects examine the interplay between technology, globalization and labor markets. Prior to coming to UC San Diego, he worked at McKinsey & Company. Kikuchi holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Tokyo. His research and interviews have been featured in national and international media outlets, including VoxEU and Nikkei.
