2015 Student Internships
GPS works throughout the students' first year to direct them toward the best internship given their career interests. Interns have worked all over the world in a wide scope of jobs that transcend their specialties.

Frontera Fridays are quarterly events that connect leaders from both sides of the border to UC San Diego and serve as a platform for learning, networking and discussing opportunities and challenges that make our binational region unique. Frontera Fridays is co-sponsored by the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies and UC San Diego’s Urban Studies and Planning Program.

May 18, 2015 EmPac PLF Hiroshi Fujiwara's Residency
His residency included meeting with students, touring San Diego and the launch of launch our new “Japan Forum for Innovation and Technology” (JFIT) and The Fujiwara Fund, which will bring Japanese investments to San Diego’s Internet of Things (IoT), biotech and wireless health industries.
May 15, 2015 LASO Fest
This event is held yearly by the GPS Latin American Student Organization (LASO) to celebrate the Latin America culture surrounding Cinco de Mayo.
May 7-8, 2015 GPS Launch
The School of International Relations and Pacific Studies celebrated its formal renaming to become the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). The two-day event was attended by students, alumni, faculty and community friends.
